Use InvestIQ in ChatGPT

ChatGPT can use remote MCP servers such as InvestIQ’s through its developer mode. Once InvestIQ is added, ask about any stock or your own portfolio in the conversation: ChatGPT calls InvestIQ’s tools, which return figures computed by InvestIQ’s engine, and explains them. You sign in to InvestIQ on an InvestIQ page.

Add InvestIQ to ChatGPT

  1. 1On chatgpt.com, open Settings › Apps (Connectors in some versions) › Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. 2Back in Apps, choose Create. Name it “InvestIQ”, paste the server URL https://www.getinvestiq.com/mcp and choose OAuth as the authentication.
  3. 3Confirm. An InvestIQ page opens: sign in, check the access requested, and choose Authorize.
  4. 4In a conversation, open the tools (+) menu, choose developer mode and select InvestIQ.

Developer mode and custom connectors depend on your ChatGPT plan and region, and the menu names change from time to time; OpenAI’s help centre has the current steps.

Things to ask

  • “Use InvestIQ to analyze Microsoft: what drives its score, and where is it weak?”
  • “With InvestIQ, compare Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom on quality, valuation and momentum.”
  • “Audit my InvestIQ portfolio: concentration, sector exposure, and holdings with weak data.”
  • “Add ASML to my InvestIQ watchlist and alert me if it falls below 600.”

Naming InvestIQ in the question helps ChatGPT pick its tools. Figures come from InvestIQ’s engine — see the methodology — and ChatGPT explains them.

What ChatGPT can access

  • Research on any covered stock: scores, fundamentals, valuation, estimates, results, insider trades, news and market data.
  • Your InvestIQ portfolios, watchlist and investor profile — read when a question needs them.
  • Changes only when you ask: watchlist, price alerts, positions, investor profile. ChatGPT may ask you to confirm before a tool that changes something runs.

InvestIQ receives the parameters of the tool ChatGPT calls, not your conversation; tools use your plan’s allowance. InvestIQ never trades and never moves money. Details in the privacy policy.

Troubleshooting

  • No Create button. Developer mode is off, or not available on your plan or in your region.
  • The sign-in page does not open. Allow pop-ups for chatgpt.com and try connecting again.
  • Connected to the wrong InvestIQ account. Remove the app in ChatGPT’s settings, create it again, and choose “Use another account” on InvestIQ’s sign-in page.
  • ChatGPT answers without InvestIQ. Check that InvestIQ is selected in the conversation’s tools menu, and name it in your question.
  • A tool says the monthly allowance is reached. Your plan’s allowance resets each month; pricing lists each plan’s.

Disconnect

Remove InvestIQ from ChatGPT’s Settings › Apps. To have InvestIQ revoke the access on its side as well, write to contact@getinvestiq.com.
