What the tools cover
- Stock research: InvestIQ’s analysis of a stock and its score, comparisons, fundamentals, valuation, analyst estimates, results history, dividends, technicals, insider trades, peers.
- Market: news, macro data, sector performance, ETF composition, screens of the scored universe and themes.
- Your portfolio: holdings, audit, risk and performance of your InvestIQ portfolios.
- Watchlist and alerts: read your watchlist, add or remove tickers, create price alerts.
- Profile: read and, when you ask, update your investor profile.
Each tool is annotated as read-only or as a change, so the assistant and you know which ones modify something. Every result carries the notice that it is informational, not investment advice. How the figures are computed is in the methodology; where the data comes from, in data sources.
Connecting a client
Step-by-step guides: Claude and Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor.
Other MCP clients that support remote servers with OAuth use the same address. Their configuration files usually look like this:
Security and data
- You sign in on getinvestiq.com; the assistant never sees your InvestIQ password.
- The sign-in page names the application asking for access and where it will send you back, and warns when that is an application on your own computer.
- InvestIQ receives the parameters of each tool call, not your conversation, and keeps a technical log of calls (tool, assistant, duration) without their content.
- No tool can trade, move money or reach a brokerage account.
